AFCON: Mahrez Vs Sadio Mane, I Support Adebayo – Eto’o

Samuel Eto’o; ~ I heard what my good friend Emmanuel Adebayor said and it’s appropriate for me to share my views.

I’ve won African best player of the year before, and on the Sadio Mane one i agree with him because Sadio wasn’t influential in the AFCON. They should have given Riyad Mahrez because he won the AFCON.

Among the honors, Sadio Mane was also nominated because he reached the UEFA Champions League final which is absurd to me and to the whole continent.

African football has improved and it has grown more and more popular in today’s society, and i agree with Emmanuel Adebayor we need to make sure that everything goes accordingly. We have lucrative leagues in the continent and we have our own Champions League.

UEFA is like CAF and in UEFA award ceremony I’ve never seen them nominating a player who played out of UEFA even Euro International tournament is left out of the equation, so when in CAF Awards they come up with excuses about AFCON. CAF and AFCON are different. AFCON has its own honors in the tournament. I’m devastated too. “

But as a person who has won the same award people will think I’m jealous because i won it so i just keep quiet and attend their ceremonies. After all I’m African.
