Cleric Urges Christians to Practice Genuine Hospitality

The assistant Parish Priest, All saint Catholic Church, Onicha Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State Rev, Father. Vincent Okwuokei has urged Catholic faithful to practice genuine hospitality to everyone, News Desk Paper Report.

Fr Vincent  stressed this during  a Homily while  preaching  from  the first  and  second  readings,  explaining  that  it was very  necessary  for everyone  to embrace  the  attitude  of kindness  to the  poor  and strangers.

He affirmed  that  there was always  reward  for  kindness  shown to strangers,  noted that  every  good person  irrespective  of being  a Christian  or not should  possess the  quality  of Hospitality  which  was a virtue  that would  never  go unrewarded .

“There are countless  blessings  that came  to us  for our kindness  to strangers, many  have lost golden  opportunities  in life  just because  they  refused  to help  when  they came  across  people  with  genuine need,” he added.

Fr Vincent, however reiterated that our help must not be forced, pretentious nor come from a bitter heart.
