Delta State Government has called on all to support the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as governor-elect for the realization of the More Agenda.
The state Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu made the call today while talking to press at the Ministry of Information Conference Hall, Asaba in a briefing he tagged: Show of appreciation.
While expressing gratitude to Deltans for the victory, he called on every opponent to put behind what has happened and see every offensive activities as part of the heat of the process and that PDP has also done that by forgiving all those who lied against them during the campaign process.
Anaigwu also congratulated the opponent parties for putting up a strong fight and urged them to join hands with Sheriff Oborevwori and John Onyeme, rather than go to court.
He reasoned that objecting to the results of the election would be a waste of money and time, advising that such effort should rather be invested in other meaningful ventures.
The commissioner further appreciated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting what he termed ‘a much more improved electoral process.”
He expressed conviction that while the PDP won fair and square in all the senatorial districts, the victory would further empower Deltans in the local areas through more projects, empowerment programmes and enhance the unity in Delta State.
