DPO Urges Ika Residents To Protect One Another

By Christian Ogoh

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Agbor Police Headquarters, Mr. Idris Haruna has called on residents of Ika land to be vigilant and look out for each other.

Mr. Haruna gave the admonition when members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) led by Comr. Christian Izegede paid him a courtesy call at his office in Agbor headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta.

“Security is not one man’s business. Our job as security operatives is more effective through information and synergy, which is why we must be our brothers’ keepers” he stated.

He disclosed that security operatives in the area have designed what can be called an operation order that would enable them to curtail crime and social vices.

“We will continue to do our best to ensure that law and order prevails in the locality. That is why I employ members of the public to always report any suspicious activity to enable us to nip it in the bud” he stated.

Speaking further, the DPO urged parents to always monitor the activities of their grown up children.

In his remarks, the chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ika South chapter, Comrade Christian Izegede noted that the purpose of their visit was to welcome him to Agbor.

While commending security operatives in the locality for their sacrifice, he appealed to the DPO to monitor the activities of members of vigilante groups to avoid excesses.
