The newly elected students’ union president of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, Comrade Samuel Boi has said he will build upon the achievements of his predecessor.
He made the remarks in a chat with newsmen shortly after his election victory at Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.
Comrade Boi lauded management of the institution for conducting peaceful, free and fair election for the students.
While saying that students’ welfare would be one of his administration concern, he lauded the students for their support during the election.
Boi described the rector of the institution, Professor Emmanuel Achuenu as a refined academic that has the interest of students at heart.
He called on his co- contestant to see election as game, put the past behind and join hands with him and his executive to move the institution to a greater height.
He said he would work assiduously with his team to ensure more development in the institution.
