Leader of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has called on the international community to focus their attention on the forthcoming governorship elections in Edo and Ondo States.
Giwa, who stated this on Sunday while leading his members in prayer ahead of the elections, described the just concluded Local Council Election in Ondo state as very disappointing.
The pastor revealed that some politicians vying for the 2023 presidential election had concluded plans to take the two states by force.
He said,” Why do you want to use force to get what does not belong to you? From the time Jacob stole Esau’s blessing, he never rested.
“His mother had to tell him to run from home and go to another country to hide. There is no rest for the wicked.
“Some forces outside Ondo and Edo states want to take the states by force. We must pray against bloodshed.
“In Ondo state, you have seen a video clip of a certain politician who was once the governorship aspirant of the ruling party boasting to deal ruthlessly with the electorate.
“He also describes himself as a militant who knows how to use a gun. Since they have failed to conduct ordinary local government election, would you trust them to allow the wishes of the electorate to prevail in the forthcoming election?
“Those vying for the 2023 election want to use Ondo, Edo states to test their popularity. You all know that any party that wins the two states will get more votes for a presidential candidate of their party.
“Are they God? Do they know what is going to happen before 2023? A foolish says there is no God!
“Please, pray that God should turn their evil plans against them.
“Could you imagine that police was even following them around to snatch ballot boxes? Just ordinary local council election, this is ridiculous.”
