Insecurity: Army Invades Jumia Office In Kwale

A group of fully armed military operatives invaded Jumia Kwale office at about 7:30 pm on Thursday located at 107 Umusadege Road beside unity bank Kwale, Delta State.

In statement forwarded to News Desk by some person in the facility as at the time of the invasion, the Army personnel are seeking to know the where about of the staff in the office.

When they question the old woman living in the facility about the operators of the office she said they have gone and when she questioned the army personnels why looking for them they queried her an eye witness said.

According to another witness as at the time of the invasion the army personnels block the gate with their vehicle and station at the gate with gun set to fire if the staff of the office was to run.

Another eye witness said the army operative came with two civilians which one of them wearing face cap, slim, more than average height, black was pointing at the office saying this is the office make sure they don’t escape.

When the manager of the office Mr Augustine was contacted and told the situation, the manager said and I quote ” The young man was not unconnected to Mr Victor Olise from okpai in Ndokwa East local government area of Delta State, who came to make purchase of item at our office on 16th November 2019″

The manager explain the transaction as follows, he bought items on jumia, later came took some and rejected the others, but one particular items Hp laptop white was turned on by him and he later said he don’t want the latop when we contacted our head office in Lagos they said the item cannot be returned since it was turned on and the seal removed and was not in bad condition. The young man said he will deal with us with military operatives, the matter has since been reported to the kwale police division. The police invited him for questioning but refused to show up.

We are calling on government to direct the army authority to fish out the military personnel that came on this mission, they where about Ten in numbers plus two civilians the manager said.
