The Managing Director of Nigeria Gas Marketing Company (NGMC) Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State HRM Justin Ezeala has denied rumour making the rounds that the company will be relocated elsewhere.
The managing director of the company who is also a traditional ruler in Imo State debunked the rumour in a key note address during his courtesy visit to HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso, Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom recently.
“There is this talk and rumour that NGMC will be relocated. It is not true, there is no such plan.
“NGMC is here and is going to remain here for a very long time ” he assured.
The MD of NGMC stated that he was mindful of the fact that the presence of the company in the area needed encouragement of economic development in the host communities.
He accordingly promised to sustained the corporate social responsibility of the company to the host communities.
Ezeala disclosed that he was the Executive Director, Marketing in Nigeria Gas Company (NGC) Ekpan , Uvwie Local Government Area three years ago before his elevation to the exalted position of MD of Nigeria Gas Marketing Company ( NGMC)
He remarked that during the period, he enjoyed peace in Uvwie Kingdom. The visiting MD of NGMC attributed this to the peace and security initiatives of the highly esteemed Uvwie monarch.
He had earlier hailed Uvwie people for their rich culture and respect for Abe 1
An overwhelmed MD of NGMC noted that he was encouraged as a traditional ruler with the rich cultural display of Uvwie chiefs during the visit.
He remarked that the respect Uvwie people had for Abe 1 was a symbol of love for the Uvwie monarch.
Ezeala noted that it was symbolic and symbiotic
“It reflects on the welfare of the people; If you care for your people; your people will care you,” the traditional ruler cum MD added.
The visiting royal guest also expressed his deep appreciation to his royal host for the red-carpet reception accorded him and his entourage.
The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, in his brief speech assured corporate organizations in Uvwie Kingdom of an enabling environment to operate.
He however charged them on their corporate social responsibilities to the area.
Abe 1 had earlier thanked the visiting MD of NGMC for his remarks and the visit.
