The Delta State Commissioner for Humanitarian and Community Support Services, Dr. Darlington Ijeh has expressed happiness over the victory of the State’s House of Assembly Speaker and Governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborovwori in the just concluded Governorship election, stating that it was a well-deserved victory for the Party.

Dr. Ijeh stated this in Asaba, shortly after Rt. Hon. Oborovwori was declared the winner of the election by the Chief Collation Officer, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof. George Owunari.

“Your victory at the poll has proven your popularity and acceptance by Deltans across the three Senatorial Districts beyond every reasonable doubt”.

“And it’s also an icing on the cake and testament to what our great Party, the PDP has achieved through the trailblazing performance of the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa,” he added.

The Commissioner charged the Governor-elect to put his feet on the gas pedal by sustaining the all-round developmental strides institutionalized by the Okowa- led administration in the State as soon as he takes the oath of Office, come May 29.

Dr. Ijeh used the medium to commend all PDP faithful in the State for working tirelessly and conscientiously for the success of the Party in the just concluded election.

The Commissioner, who doubled as Oshimili South PDP Campaign Director and Deputy Director Field Operation for the just concluded 2023 General election in the State, urged the Governor-elect to be magnanimous in victory because, at the end, Delta State is the winner.
