Okpe Youth Council President Urges Buhari To Inaugurate Board Of NDDC

The President of Okpe Youth Council Worldwide, Comr. Israel Otomewo, has joined voices in calling on President Muhammadu Buhari, to as a matter of urgency inaugurate a substantive board for the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

Addressing journalists shortly after an executive meeting of the association in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Otomewo, added his voice to the numerous voices of the people of the Niger Delta for the President to Inaugurate the board.

The youth leader said, “It is pertinent for me to add my voice to the ongoing agitation by the people of the Niger Delta for President Buhari, to as a matter of urgency Inaugurate a substantive board for the NDDC.”

He noted that the inauguration was important to avoid looming crisis in the oil-rich Niger Delta, saying that President Buhari should do the needful to sustain the prevailing peace in the region.

Otomewo stated that already the level of insecurity in Nigeria was alarming, saying that it had gotten to the worst, and that a crisis in the Niger Delta should be avoided by doing the right thing.

The Okpe Youth Council, (OYC) is the umbrella body of all Okpe Youths worldwide.
