Sports competition, no doubt had continued to impact positively on the brain and the overall mental and physical development of the child.
The Principal of Solid Foundation Comprehensive High School Issele Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State Mr Ikechukwu Anumenechi disclosed this during the 1st inter House sports competition of the school.
Mr Anumenechi, who underscores the importance of sports events said that his school had accorded Athletics the necessary recognition and integrated in the school educational curriculum.
While explaining that the school was focusing on providing qualitative and affordable education, he reminded the students that there were neither substitute to hard work nor short cut to success, he maintained that the school would continue to enforce discipline among the students.
The school Boss, However used the opportunity to emphasize that the school was information and computer technology driven.
He concluded by appreciating the PTA of the school, the sports committee, staff and students for their tireless pursuit for excellence, just as he solicited for support from individuals, corporate bodies, as well as philanthropist to assist the school in any capacity they can, to facilitate the developmental needs of the school.
High point of the event was the decoration with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals to Athletes who distinguished themselves in the various competition.
