Recently, the media was set agog with Pst Ibiyieome’s comment “cursing Daddy Freeze and threatening to arrest him, should he continue to insult Bishop David Oyedepo”.
But let me speak to you because you are my own children, whom I’ve begotten in the Lord.
My authority over you on any subject matter is anchored on this scriptural injunction.
1 Corinthians 4:14
I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
Many Nigerians, obviously ignorant Christians and enemies of the church are asking Ibiyieome to apologize to Daddy Freeze for calling him a bastard and cursing the day he was born.
But my question is should Jesus apologise for calling Herod ‘a fox’ or should Elisha apologise to the parents of the children he cursed to death which God upheld as cursed?
Please note the following:
God curses those who curse His children.
Genesis 12:3
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
If you curse God, you bear your sins.
Leviticus 24:15
And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.
However, the scriptural punishment for those who curse their fathers and mothers is death.
Exodus 21:17
And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
Leviticus 20:9
For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.
Our covenant fathers cursed those who cursed their children.
Genesis 27:29
Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
WilI I ever keep quiet when I see anyone curse you by any name? No, I’ll rain curses back at him in the name of my God!
When a man curses his parents, his light will diminish. That is what is happening to Daddy Freeze currently.
Proverbs 20:20
Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
Please don’t ever sympathetize with daddy Freeze, you may partake of his sins.
Proverbs 30:11
There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
All these while Freeze has been cursing and insulting us and our fathers, nobody held him down.
Remember how he called Bishop Oyedepo a ‘Screeching bald headed fowl, my own father and his followers clapped for him!’
He relentlessly cast aspersions against Pst E.O Adeboye, a man, some of us honour with our blood, your opinion notwithstanding.
Remember how he said Pastor FOLU Adeboye (Pst Adeboye’s wife) could be suffering from senility simply because he didn’t agree with what she told RCCG youth.
Don’t also forget how he called pastors ‘pulpit crooks and fraudsters’ without proofs. Most of us left ‘better’ job offers moving our families everywhere for Jesus bearing the cross in the name of the Lord!
That guy deserves no apology but more curses.
One of my sons asked, can he insult the Sultan of Sokoto or any other Islamic leader in this country and go unpunished the way he insults Christian fathers and gets away?
Most of us curse him in our hearts, only one found expression outward.
Let us see how far he can go villifying our fathers.
What a child he is today!
If he doesn’t repent, watch how he ends in the years to come and draw lessons afterwards.
Today is a day of double nine. There shall be double blessings for you today in Jesus name!
God bless you all!
