Security Council Considers Nationwide Ban On Motorcycle, Mining Activities

The National Security Council had announced that it is strongly considering a nationwide ban on motorcycle and mining activities in the country. As it is a major form used by terrorists, News Desk Paper Report.

This was the outcome of the meeting held in the state house Abuja headed by the president of the federation. Muhammad Buhari and the Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami in other to discussed the possible way to fight insecurity in the Country.

Malami addresses the press after the meeting, stating that investigations are still ongoing especially to establish the correlation between mining and motorcycle which is suspected to be a source of funding for the supply of arms to terrorists. He noted that terrorists had moved from the normal ways of funding their activities to mining and ransom taking. He made note of the fact that the government is aware of the economic implication the motorcycle ban will cause but that it is a requirement in other to guarantee the security in Nigeria.
