Suspected Burger Allegedly Confesses Killers Of Governor

Two suspected burglars were allegedly caught in the process of carrying out their nefarious activities in some stores in Market Road Warri where the late wood merchant, Stanley Governor Afejuku had a wood factory.

The suspects were said to be immediately handed over to the government security agents that were on guard in the area on Thursday 12th May, 2022.

It was gathered that the suspects were seriously drilled by the government security agents and that in process, one of the suspected burglars was alleged to have to confess that he knew the killers of the wood merchant popularly called, Governor.

After the alleged confession, they were said to be immediately handed over to the police for arrest.

When contacted for confirmation, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Delta State Police Headquarters, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed that the suspects were arrested by the police for the alleged crime of burglary in Market Road, Warri 

He quickly added that the suspected burglars did not make any statement as to the killing of Stanley Governor Afejuku at as the time of filing this report.

He however stated that police were investigating the matter.

It would be recalled that the late wood merchant popularly known called and addressed as Governor was robbed of his handset and stabbed to death in the process by yet to be identified hoodlums at Okere Road ( opposite Post Office ) Warri where he went to buy grilled meat ( suya ) on Saturday 7th, 2022.

It was gathered the sum of thirty five thousand naira was in one of the pocket in his trousers after he was killed.

The wife of the deceased, Gift a mother of 5 a native of Eku in Ethiope East Local Government Area had in a media interaction with our correspondent at their Akporume Okumagba Estate residence, cried for justice over the gruesome murder of her husband.

The late wood merchant was 44 years old and hailed from Jakpa, in Warri North Local Government Area.
